Grain Futures Continue to Sink Despite Pick Up in Demand

Row crop futures were under continued pressure on Tuesday, with wheat prices
leading the decline on apparent confirmation that officials from the U.S.,
Ukraine, and Russia will meet in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 10-11 to attempt to
negotiate a ceasefire in the Black Sea war. Corn and soybeans headed lower as
well, despite the former seeing a strong resurgence in export demand this week,
indicating that world buyers have taken note of lower U.S. prices over the past
two months. Energy futures were mixed with lower crude oil and higher gas and
diesel futures. The U.S. launched limited strikes against Iran on Monday, as
the two sides reportedly remain far apart on terms for ending the war.
